Role Overview

Petra Mechatronics is a leading B2B eCommerce provider specializing in industrial automation and precision instrumentation. As we expand our global digital footprint, we are seeking two experienced WordPress Administrators to manage our international network of eCommerce sites.

Team Strategy: We are hiring two specialists to ensure high availability and seamless operation of our platforms. Whether your strength is in Web Infrastructure/Hosting or WooCommerce/Front-End Customization, we are looking for administrators who can deliver technical stability from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Deployment & Multi-Environment Management: Set up and manage WordPress installations across various staging and production environments for different international markets.

• WooCommerce Administration: Oversee the upkeep of our eCommerce stores, including category architecture, product synchronization, and checkout optimization.

• Plugin & Tool Management: Expertly manage and configure Elementor, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), and Crocoblock to build dynamic, high-performance pages.

• Technical Oversight: Manage web hosting, security protocols, automated backups, and user access control to ensure 99.9% uptime.

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the technical bridge between UI/UX designers, senior developers, and freelancers to ensure project timelines are met.

• Performance & SEO: Conduct site-wide speed optimizations, mobile responsiveness checks, and technical SEO implementation.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve bugs, plugin conflicts, and server-side issues (PHP/Database) immediately as they arise.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in web administration, with at least 1 year of focused experience in WordPress/WooCommerce and Hosting management.

• Coding Skills: Proficiency in HTML and CSS (JavaScript/PHP knowledge is a strong plus).

• Creative Tools: Basic proficiency in Photoshop for asset preparation and debugging tools for troubleshooting.

• Communication: High proficiency in English (written and verbal) for clear technical documentation and coordination.

• Portfolio: A live portfolio of functional WordPress/eCommerce websites is mandatory.

• Residency: Must be a resident of Jordan.

• Documentation: Valid experience certificates are required to verify professional history.

Key Advantages (Preferred Qualifications)

• Technical Certifications: Certifications in Google Analytics, Cybersecurity, or CMS Management are highly regarded.

• Advanced Dev Skills: Experience creating custom themes/plugins from scratch or working with React/Angular.

• Infrastructure: Familiarity with PHP script installation (Perfex, RISE), MySQL/MariaDB, and IT administration.

• Workflow: Experience working in Scrum/Agile environments or leading small technical teams.

Pre-Employment Assessment

Qualified candidates must pass a technical pre-employment test covering:

1. WordPress & WooCommerce: Advanced configuration and troubleshooting.

2. Plugin Ecosystem: Deep dive into Elementor, ACF, and security plugins.

3. Basic Coding: Practical HTML/CSS task.

4. Hosting & Security: Server management and site migration scenarios.
