Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Onsite – Preferred candidates from Nasr City or nearby locations, or those who can easily commute
Experience Level:
- 3+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on selling mechatronics-related products, industrial automation, weighing equipment, POS, lifting equipment, weighbridge, batching, packing machines, and other related industrial equipment and tools.
- Engineering degree (preferably in Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering).
We are a UAE-based company in Dubai, seeking an Technical Sales Engineer to join our team.
In this role, the Technical Sales Engineer will be mainly responsible for closing inbound and outbound sales leads, generating new business through outbound sales activities, identifying customer needs, and offering tailored solutions in the mechatronics, industrial automation, and weighing equipment sectors.
Job Description:
1. Sales and Business Development
- Identify new opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
- Conduct market research to align with industry needs.
2. Technical Consultation
- Provide product advice, demonstrations, and tailored solutions.
- Resolve customer issues in collaboration with the technical team.
3. Proposal Development
- Create and negotiate technical and commercial proposals.
4. Dealer and Distributor Management
- Support and train dealers to boost sales and performance.
5. High-Value Inquiries
- Handle premium inquiries with customized solutions and timely follow-up.
6. Project Sales and Complex Solutions
- Address project requirements and complex challenges with innovative solutions.
7. Reporting and Coordination
- Track sales activities and collaborate across teams to meet goals.
Work Environment:
- Collaborate in both remote and onsite settings, ensuring seamless coordination with all stakeholders.
- Use leading remote platforms and communication tools to maintain efficiency.
Location Preference: Candidates from Nasr City or nearby areas who can easily commute are preferred
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering) or a related field.
- Proven experience of 3+ years including outdoor sales, with a focus on mechatronics-related products, industrial automation, or weighing equipment, POS, lifting equipment, weighbridge, batching, packing machines and other industrial equipment and tools.
- Strong technical understanding of mechatronics, industrial automation, or weighing systems and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relationships and build rapport.
- Proven ability to generate new business and convert outbound inquiries into successful sales.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and meet sales targets.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple sales leads and inquiries simultaneously.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) to track leads and customer interactions.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams (marketing, technical, and support) to deliver solutions.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to assess customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- A proactive and result-driven approach to sales.
- Ability to understand technical product details and communicate them effectively to customers without technical expertise.
- Fluent in English (a must).
Other Requirements:
- Ability to handle a high volume of outbound calls and sales meetings.
- Experience working independently and managing your own schedule.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills for customer meetings and trade shows.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends in industrial automation and mechatronics products.
